FlyViewPro (“FlyViewPro”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use our website and desktop application.

This policy applies to:

  • The FlyViewPro website (including flyviewpro.com)
  • The FlyViewPro desktop application
  • Related authentication, licensing, and payment services

FlyViewPro acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Overview of our approach

FlyViewPro is designed with a local-first philosophy:

  • Video files are processed locally on your device
  • No video content is uploaded automatically
  • Data collection is limited to what is necessary for account access, licensing, and payments

3. Personal data we collect

3.1 Website data

When you visit our website, we may collect:

  • IP address
  • Device and browser information
  • Pages visited and interaction data

This data is collected via Google Analytics to understand website usage and improve our site. Google Analytics may set cookies and may process data outside the EU in accordance with applicable safeguards.

3.2 Account and authentication data

When you create or use an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Account identifiers provided by our authentication provider
  • Basic profile information, if provided

This data is used solely for authentication, account access, and communication related to your use of FlyViewPro.

3.3 Licensing and device data

To manage licenses, import and device limits, we collect:

  • License identifiers
  • Hashed device identifiers
  • Device name (as provided by your operating system)
  • Operating system and app version
  • License activation and usage timestamps
  • File names of imports, along with file type and file size

This information is used exclusively for licensing, entitlement management, and fraud prevention.

3.4 Payment data

If you purchase a license or other paid services:

  • Payments are processed by Stripe
  • We do not store credit card or payment card details
  • We may receive limited payment metadata (such as payment status or transaction ID)

3.5 Crash reporting and diagnostics

We collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the application encounters an error that causes it to crash or malfunction. We use Sentry to collect, store, and process crash data on our behalf.

Crash data may include technical details about the error, device model and OS version, application version, timestamps, and other diagnostic context we send with the report. While we strive to avoid including personally identifiable information in crash reports, crash data may contain such information if included in the context data. Data is retained in accordance with our retention policy and applicable law.

3.6 What we do not collect by default

We do not collect:

  • Video or media content
  • Background usage analytics
  • Advertising or profiling data

4. Video processing and uploads

Video files are processed locally on your device.

FlyViewPro does not upload video content automatically.

Any future video upload functionality would require explicit user action (for example, pressing an upload button) and will clearly communicate what data is uploaded and for what purpose at the time of upload.

5. Optional features in the future

In the future, FlyViewPro may offer optional features such as:

  • User-initiated or opt-in crash/error reporting
  • User-initiated video uploads

If introduced, these features will be clearly explained in the application and may be subject to updates to this Privacy Policy.

6. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide and maintain FlyViewPro
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts
  • Manage licenses and entitlements
  • Process payments
  • Improve our website and services
  • Respond to user inquiries and support requests

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising purposes.

7. Third-party service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate our services, including:

  • Google Analytics – website analytics
  • Stripe – payment processing
  • Kinde - authentication
  • Hosting, and infrastructure providers necessary to operate FlyViewPro

These providers process data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Account and license data: for the duration of your account and as required for legal or accounting purposes
  • Website analytics data: according to our analytics configuration and provider defaults
  • Support communications: as long as needed to resolve inquiries

You may request deletion of your account data at any time (see Section 9).
